In the heart of India’s luxury capital is the new Grand Seiko Salon, located at Phoenix Palladium, Mumbai’s destination for fine watches.

The new salon offers a calm counterpoint to the city’s rhythm, bringing the “Nature of Time” philosophy to life through an immersive retail experience created for connoisseurs and admirers of exquisite Japanese watchmaking.

At the centre of this experience is a showcase of Grand Seiko’s artistry and technical mastery. From the much-revered Shunbun, a signature of the Heritage Collection with a classic Grand Seiko design and a pink dial that captures the spirit of the fleeting sakura season, to the latest introductions from the Elegance Collection, the Snowdrop and Moondrop, inspired by melting snow under spring sunlight and dew beneath an autumn moon.

The SBGA413 Shunbun is a Grand Seiko classic, inspired by the gentle fall of pink sakura petals that drift to form hanaikada, flower rafts on water. Its design is a modern reinterpretation of the iconic 62GS, Grand Seiko’s first automatic timepiece from 1967, and is powered by the sophisticated Spring Drive Caliber 9R65, assembled at the Shinshu Watch Studio in Nagano.

The two new automatic mechanical GMT watches from the Elegance Collection are inspired by the case design of the first Grand Seiko watch. The SBGM257 “Moondrop” with navy-blue dial and gold-colored GMT hand, and the SBGM255 “Snowdrop” with white dial and tempered blue GMT hand captures the beauty of the richly symbolic seasonal moments. Both of these watches have a modern geometric spiral pattern, and the dial changes in appearance based on the angle of the light, recalling how dew drops and melting snow gleam.
