A rare luxury watch was unveiled at the Seiko Boutique in Express Avenue Mall, Chennai, on the 24th of June. And two stalwarts came forth to do the honours – Grand Seiko and five-time world Chess champion Viswanathan Anand.

Themed as ‘The Legends of Time’, it was an occasion where the Chess Grandmaster revealed a limited edition Spring Drive timepiece for the first time in India along with the President & COO of Seiko India – Niladri Mazumder.

The event was followed by an interaction between Viswanathan Anand and members of GS9 Club India Chapter – Grand Seiko’s official group for owners of its fine luxury timepieces – over high tea.

Members got the chance to understand the mind of a true Chess champion who was known for his skill, speed and spirit and explore a curated collection of Grand Seiko timepieces.
